VOIP (voice over IP) rationalisation project rollout
As part of this rollout project, we attended over 350 sites to carry out testing on existing cabling to ensure that they passed Cat3 standards.
We also assisted BT with a rationalisation survey of the equipment rooms to assess whether they met with health & safety guidelines, and to correct any defective appliances and cabling. In some cases this included the installation of consolidation points to extend the length of cables to allow relocation of cabinets.
Additionally, we carried out a re-patching exercise to “tidy up” the cabinets and create a new colour-coded patching scheme to all the sites.
