Fibre Splicing
Fibre splicing is the act of joining two optical fibres end-to-end using heat. The goal is to fuse the two fibres together in such a way that light passing through them is not scattered or reflected back by the splice, and so that the splice and the region surrounding it are almost as strong as the virgin fibre itself.
We can now provide our clients with a comprehensive and competitively priced fibre splicing service to compliment our existing fibre & copper installation capabilities. Whether you require a single fibre link between equipment rooms or a high density installation within a data centre, we can supply fully trained fibre splicing engineers at locations throughout the UK using the latest Fujikura FSM-50 Fibre Splicer.
