Environmental Policy Statement

Cable-Talk Communications Ltd is an organisation that was established in 1996 and specialises in the installation of network cabling and services to support voice and data systems. Our business is conducted with 15 staff from two office locations, one in Merton, South West London and the other in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This enables us to cover a UK wide customer base.

A review of our activities has identified our key environmental impacts as:

  • Waste
  • Energy consumption
  • Transportation

Cable-Talk is committed to continual improvement, prevention of pollution and compliance with legislation, including the EPA 1991 (Duty of Care). We pride ourselves on quality and delivery of service and our employees are trained in all aspects of environmental issues and are provided with a copy of our environmental policy in their induction pack. Cable-Talk is an organisation that involves employees at all levels. Our policy is fully supported by our directors and is delegated through managers & supervisors to all employees where they are encourage to take ownership of areas of the policy that are relevant to them.

Cable-Talk have business objectives that include improvements for the environment. We recognise that we have an impact and set ourselves the following targets:

  • Minimise waste, prevent pollution, re-use & recycle where possible
  • Meet, and where reasonably practical, exceed the requirements of all applicable environmental legislation
  • Review our progress on an annual basis
  • Ensure our staff & customers are aware of our Environmental Policy
  • Encourage suppliers, contractor & sub-contractors to improve their environmental performance
  • Support innovation and the use of sustainable resources

We will monitor our progress towards those targets and audit our procedures to ensure compliance. Our policy and annual review will be made available on our web site.
